Tasting Note by Michael Broadbent: "It was in 1966 that the Marey-Monge family granted DRC a lease of their share of this major vineyard....Four more recent notes: first, ...a slightly cloudy bottle; sweet, powerful, with enough tannin to cope with destructive cheeses and, the following day, noted again at a vertical tasting of St Vivants: almost sickly sweet nose, raspberry, rose-like fragrance; rich and heavenly flavour. The following month...exhuberantly flowery nose; very ripe, delicious. Most recently, now medium-deep, mature but healthy colour; fragrant, 'refined beetroot' nose; sweet, ripe, lovely flavour but still with quite a bite"
